NASD Delays In-Person Classes to 2021: Norristown Area School District decides to offer only virtual instruction for all students through January 2021

JUST ANNOUNCED: July 28, 2020, Norristown

“…we do not feel we should rush students back into the classroom until it is safe.”

– says NASD School Board President, Shae Ashe

TODAY JULY 28TH Via a message to shared with NASD families and the community on ConnectEd and Youtube, Norristown Area School District Superintendent Chris Dormer announced the the district will provide virtual instruction only for all students through January 2021.

The official start date for online/virtual learning is set for August 31, 2020 and classes will remain virtual until at least January 11, 2021.

Per School Board President, Shae Ashe, “…every student will have access to district-issued Chromebook and hotspots for families in need.

Additional information will be shared over next several weeks through ConnectEd, calls, emails, and letters will be mailed home to families.
