Original Poem by: Rich Flow 1st Place W(iN)NER
I done took my strong fears and turned them into long years.
Long as your heart righteous you won’t cry the wrong tears.
Seen it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears,
nose pierced by the stenches of a ghost near, boy I’m nearly dead inside, take me on that medic ride.
This how it feels when your heart and ya head collide.
The reaper want my soul and I ain’t tryna leverage mine.
Gone have to meet me in the middle like an x and y,
you gone have to line me up to get me off the grid, I make bail my homies get me off the the fence, beat the case my lawyer get me off the bid,
made rent that was strictly off the biz. I made you love me that was quickly off a kiss,
turned around made you judge me that was simply off of stick
Life’s an unfair fairy tale do you believe it and read it, or despise it and hide it
and use your pride as pilot, in fear of falling from the sky’s from up high while you flying, while steady eyeing the mileage as if the climate is violent?
You ain’t divine in ya silence I hear you loud and clear. You’ll never be a town’s hero without ground zero.
That’s where the folk who need some healing and some helping reside, if you fell from the sky’s them tears done fell from they eyes,
too many thoughts of feeling lost been overcrowding they’re minds, I know what’s dwelling inside, you just jealous inside.
I spoke these words as I looked into a muddy puddle, seeking ownership all I found was some ugly trouble,
mixed in with bloody knuckles from a crummy scuffle, before you want me humble let my repercussions double.
Aint nothing funny, screw you, I just felt my stomach stumble.
Caught up in the monkey jungle acting like this money love, you posed to find peace way before you done the puzzle,
Rest In Peace Nip Hussle
aye cuz we love you.
I pray my homies live long enough to see me die…
I rather me than you.
I pray my homies live long enough to see me die…
I rather me than you.
Still I pray for decent sky’s over bleeding sky’s…
cause I’ve been bleeding too.
How I’m posed’ to feed the mind when they feed me lies…
I’m tryna see it through.
