Horizon At Home – Theatre Horizon, Norristown, Launches a New Virtual Classroom experience to combat quarantine boredom

Today marks the official launch of HORIZON AT HOME! Powered by Theatre Horizon, Norristown

In the first virtual class posted you can learn a fun dance to the song ZIP-A-DEE-DOO-DAH from ALICE IN WONDERLAND JR with Theatre Horizon Teaching Artist Dakota Demato https://youtu.be/IEsPS7Y27no

Horizon at Home is a free service provided by Theatre Horizon. This free virtual platform will be hosted on Theatre Horizon’s YouTube.

All of the artists on camera are compensated for their work.

“We realized there were a lot of freelance artists having shows canceled and many of them are losing income. We have teaching artists who normally teach classes for us who are having classes canceled.”

“We thought about monetizing it but we thought it was a time for us to lead and it’s a time when everyone needs a lot of good will, so we’re offering it for free for our community,” noted Artistic Director Nell Bang-Jensen, in her recent interviews regarding the upcoming launch.

Updates and links to new videos and content will be available on Theatre Horizon’s facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/theatrehorizon

In addition to the pre-recorded content, Horizon At Home also operates LIVE online classes for participants in Theatre Horizon’s award-winning Autism Drama program.
